Step-by-Step How to Backup / Sync Your Critical Data with Backup Platinum

Backup Platinum is an easy-to-use wizard-based backup / synch program. Install the program and launch it.

Backup Home

Displays all your backup and sync jobs

New Item

Click New Item to start the New Item wizard. Enter a job name.

Select What to Backup

Items that can be backed up include: folders, files, registry keys, My Documents, Outlook files, Explorer Favorites, Firefox Profiles etc. We’ll use a folders.

Select Folder

This is the source folder that needs to be backed up.

Select All Subfolders / Exclude Subfolders etc.

All subfolders are selected by default. You have the ability to (de)select at all subfolder levels.

Specify Where to Backup

You can backup in local/LAN drive, burn CD/DVD media or FTP to a host..

Specify Storage Options

You can store the files, zip on a file level, and add encryption.

Schedule Backup Job

You can schedule on daily / week days / monthly cycle or custom choose your days and times.

Backup Job Summary

Application shows you the backup job summary.

Backup is Scheduled

The new job shows up in the application. If you want to run it now, you can highlight it and click Backup.

Create a Sync Job

Click New Item to start the New Item wizard. Choose Synchronization. Enter a job name.

Specify First Folder

Pick first folder.

Specify First Folder

Pick second folder on a drive or FTP host.

Sync Settings

Decide source and target, to mirror, and/or to delete files.

Scheduling Options

You can schedule on daily / week days / monthly cycle or custom choose your days and times.

Sync Job Summary

Application shows you the sync job summary.

Sync is Scheduled

The new job shows up in the application. If you want to run it now, you can highlight it and click Synchronize.

Use Backup Platinum to backup and sync your vital data across your LAN drives and/or burn CD/DVd media for your own protection. Recommended
